Haicang Port in Xiamen
Xiamen¡¯s Haicang Port has become the first in China to launch an electronic declaration system for inbound cargo, according to the Xiamen Entry-exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau.
The system allows shipping agencies, the port operator and inspection and quarantine authorities to share logistics information.
Incoming shipments can be cleared in as little as three minutes, saving an average of 150 yuan per shipment.
